“He would give me model airplanes, tickets for rides at the fair, candy, soda, dinners in his office above the rectory.”
“He always asked my parents to take me swimming in the lake, or on an overnight camping trip.”
“He would let us drink the altar wine and he would drink hard liquor every single night.”
“We would be punished by having to walk naked for several hours on over night missions. He would beat us with tree branches along the way and abuse us all at night when we slept under the stars on our ‘mission.’”
“I told my mother and she disagreed with me, she told me Father would never do that to a child and to never repeat myself again.”
“I told my father but he beat me for ‘making up lies about father,’ so I never told another soul again.”

Child Victims Act finally passes as four lawmakers recount their own experiences with abuse
Justice at last.
Dozens of child sex abuse survivors watched as the Legislature — after more than 15 years — passed legislation Monday to make it easier for victims to seek justice as adults.
On the floor during the debate, four female lawmakers–new Sen. Alessandra Biaggi (D-Bronx), and Assembly members Yuh-Line Niou (D-Manhattan), Catalina Cruz (D-Queens), and Rodneyse Bichotte (D-Brooklyn) — recounted their own experiences of being sexually abused as kids.
Biaggi said she had remained silent for 25 years. She called it “unthinkable” that she would stand as a senator and speak about “something that I thought I would take to my grave.”
“Why on earth would anybody be opposed to this bill unless they have something to hide?” Biaggi said. “This is truly the least that we can do.”
Niou shook and cried as she recounted having been abused by a teacher when she was 13.
“I hope that people realize that this is not an attack on any institution, not attack on anybody else,” Nious said. “This is to protect victims. It’s to protect the children and it’s to help people feel a little whole again.”
Cruz, who said she was abused by a family member, thanked bill sponsors past and present for “never giving up in getting us justice.”
Unfortunately, you're not the only one
Reports indicate that almost 20,000 people nationwide have already reported being abused by a church priest or clergy member. And remember, those are just the cases that were actually reported. How many more people does this have to happen to? This must stop.
When you suffer in silence, it doesn’t just hurt you, it lets the predators get away with it. Senior church officials may have tried to cover up complaints, transfering clergy members to another parish, protecting abusive priests and coercing victims into silence. And, although they’ve fought to limit the amount of time victims have to file claims, the church has now paid out more than $3 billion to those affected. We are a plaintiffs firm who fight on behalf of innocent victims and children to obtain justice against the church.
There’s power in numbers. We are here to bring justice to abuse victims and we want to hear your story. We assure you your confidential teleconference will remain private even if you do not retain our services.
If you have suffered this horrendous trauma, you may be eligible for substantial compensation.
Uncovering the Big Cover Up
Bringing church sex abuse scandals to light is the best way to stop this abusive and illegal behavior. This past August, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court publicized one of the broadest-ever investigations into Catholic clerical sex abuse of minors in the United States. The 1,400-page grand jury report resulted from an 18-month probe by Pennsylvania state Attorney General Josh Shapiro, and names at least 300 priests accused of child sex abuse by more than 1,000 victims throughout the state. Earlier this year, Cardinal George Pell, the Vatican’s highest-ranking official in Australia, faced criminal charges of child sex abuse. These numerous high-profile cases have cast a wider media spotlight on an ongoing story of abuse, secrecy, and cover-up that dates back decades.
